About Scott
The genre didn't really grow on me until I got my Xbox, for some reason I've always been a console FPS fan, although I don't mind the desktop ones either. The game that did it for me? You ask, well, it's in the image above.
Halo.
As you can no doubt guess, I'm a Sci-Fi fan, most of my games keep to a very strict set of guidelines by which I generally conform. (Yes I admit to playing The Sims) However, as a Sci-Fi fan, you can't go past the fact that there's a lot out there for you to get into.
Half-Life Series, Halo Trilogy, Starcraft, Supreme Commander, to name but a few.
I got my first 'gaming' rig in Year 11, I say 'gaming' because it turned out to be an entry level piece of junk that I never really should have invested into, and the only game that would work, was Starcraft. So I continued to muscle through it until the next opportunity for a new rig was to emerge.
Thankfully, it did. I'm currently (as of 2008) doing a course in Games Graphics Design at RMIT in Melbourne, and quite frankly, my hunk of junk wasn't gonna cut it, so with the help of my parents, I got my next rig. And that's what I'm using right now. Quad Core power, insane hard drive space, and well, to spoil it all, Vista.
I'm not going to go into detail, but if I had the option I probably wouldn't get it again, I'd stick to XP.
Anyway, that's enough about me, if you want to talk to me more, fell free to catch me on any of the following.
